1. The applicant must be of good conduct and behavior.
2. To have the following qualifications for appointment:
- It must be issued on a regular basis, and not be in the system of affiliation, distance education, or blended education.
- It must be equivalent by the competent authority in the Sultanate if it is issued by a non-Omani higher education institution (Only for Omani).
3. Proficiency in using information technology effectively.
4. Priority is given to those who have experience in university teaching and scientific research.
5. Apply for only one position in each college.

Specific Requirements:

For Omani Citizens only

• Masters of Science in Nursing with a specialty in Critical Care from a recognized university.
• At least 3 years of clinical experience at the bedside in the critical care units (EMD, ICU, HDU). 
• At least 1 year of post-master clinical or teaching experience. 
• Active scholarship profile.
• Fluency in English.

• To be eligible, the applicant must have good conduct and behavior.

• The required qualifications for appointment should include the following:

  • Regular full-time attendance, not on a distant learning or blended learning basis.

  • The equivalency of qualification should be issued by the competent authority in the Sultanate of Oman if obtained from a non-Omani learning institution.

• Proficiency in the use of information technology is required.

• Priority will be given to those with experience in university teaching and scientific research.

• Applicants are allowed to apply for one position only.

• The terms, conditions, and procedures specified in the executive regulations of Sultan Qaboos University Law and the appointment regulations, as well as the provisions of the labor law, shall apply to Omanis in academic positions at Sultan Qaboos University.

• Special Requirements for the position of a lecturer:

• 1. Hold a bachelor's degree in Nursing.

• 2. Obtain a master's degree or its equivalent with a cumulative GPA not less than (3) out of (4) points or its equivalent from a higher education institution within the top 50% of QS, THE, or Shanghai university rankings in the year of graduation.

• For both:

• Proficiency in English, spoken and written, meeting the minimum English language requirement as follows:

  • (6) in the IELTS exam or its equivalent in the TOEFL exam if the applied specialization is taught in English.

• The age of the applicant for a teaching assistant position should not exceed 40 years at the time of advertisement.
