Duties

1) Keeping abreast of recent developments in the academic field to enhance teaching and research activities within the department.
2) Implementing the security and safety requirements established by the university to provide a suitable working environment within the department.
3) Teaching in the field of specialization.
4) Providing academic guidance to students and providing them with information related to the specialization.
5) Participating in department and college council meetings and engaging in the activities of internal and external committees as requested.
6) Contributing to scientific research, providing scientific consultations, and attending conferences and scientific seminars in the field of specialization following the established rules.
7) Contributing to quality assurance activities in academic aspects in accordance with assigned tasks.
8) Contributing to community service by participating in seminars and workshops and preparing studies and research related to community issues.
9) Any other tasks assigned in the field of work.

Requirements

General conditions for filling faculty positions:
1-    The applicant must be of Omani nationality.
2-    The applicant must be of good conduct and conduct.
3-    To have the following qualifications required for appointment:
-    It must be issued in full regularity, and not through the affiliation system, distance education, or blended education.
-    It must be equivalent by the competent authority in the Sultanate if it is issued by a non-Omani higher education institution.
4-    Good knowledge of using information technology.
5-    Priority is given to those who have experience in university teaching and scientific research.

6. Obtain a bachelor's degree in music and musical sciences , with a cumulative GPA of no less than (3) out of a (4) point system or its equivalent, or with a cumulative GPA of no less than (2.75), provided that the GPA is not less than (3.3) in the last (60) credit hours in the specialization. Or its equivalent, provided that the qualification is issued by a higher education institution within the top 50% of higher education institutions, based on the (QS), (THE), or (Shanghai) classification of universities in the year of graduation.
7. (4.5) In IELTS exam or its equivalent in the TOEFL exam.
8. He, She must be a graduate of the academic year in which the announcement was issued or the previous two years.
9. The age of the applicant for the position of teaching assistant must not exceed (26) years when the advertisement is published
