Duties

Successful candidates are expected to:

  • Teach both undergraduate and postgraduate level courses.
  • Supervise both undergraduate and postgraduate student projects.
  • Engage in scholarly research activities leading to publications in refereed international journals.
  • Play an important role in research, curriculum development, graduate student supervision and attracting research funding.
  • Actively engage in a wide range of departmental and college-based activities including research, administration and community service.

Requirements

  • Applicants, preferably medically qualified, should hold a PhD or equivalent in Human Anatomy or relevant subject with at least six years’ experience in teaching (in English) and research in a recognized academic institution after obtaining PhD.
  • They should demonstrate experience in teaching all anatomy sub-disciplines including Gross Anatomy, Histology, Neuroanatomy, Developmental and Applied Anatomy.
  • The department contributes to integrated systems course and Problem-Based sessions as part of the integrated medical curriculum adopted by the College of Medicine & Health Sciences. Therefore, the successful candidate will be required to be highly committed to problem-based and case-based learning activities.
  • Applicants should also demonstrate research contributions through publication in international peer-reviewed journal and postgraduate student supervision.
