Duties

Teach both undergraduate and postgraduate level courses
Supervise both undergraduate and postgraduate projects.
Engage in scholarly research activities leading to publications in refereed international journals.
Play an active role research, curriculum development, students’ supervision and attracting research funds.

Requirements

The Department of Statistics, Sultan Qaboos University, Sultanate of Oman, invites applications from outstanding individuals for Assistant/Associate Professor position in the field of Survey Methodology.

Assistant/Associate Professor in Survey Methodology: Suitably qualified candidates are expected to have:

PhD Degree in Survey Methodology and a Master in Statistics
Minimum of three years’ experience after PhD in teaching Statistics and Survey Methodology.
Active research record in Survey Methodology.
Experience and active role in large-scale national sample surveys.
