Duties

Teach both undergraduate and postgraduate level courses
Supervise both undergraduate and postgraduate projects.
Engage in scholarly research activities leading to publications in refereed international journals.
Play an active role research, curriculum development, students’ supervision and attracting research funds.

Requirements

The Department of Statistics, Sultan Qaboos University, Sultanate of Oman, invites applications from outstanding individuals for Associate Professor position in the field of Actuarial Science.

Associate Professor in Actuarial Science: Suitably qualified candidates are expected to have:

PhD Degree in Actuarial Science
Minimum of three years’ experience after PhD. in teaching Actuarial Science and Statistics courses.
Active research record in Actuarial Science
Good record of development and delivery of Actuarial Science courses.
