Duties

Applicants should demonstrate excellence in teaching and research. Successful candidates are expected to:

  • Teach courses with English as the medium of instruction.
  • Engage in scholarly research activities leading to publications in refereed international journals and attracting research funding. 
  • Play an important role in research, curriculum development, student academic advising.
  • Contribute to community service to the general public and to the official institutions in different forms such as public presentations, workshops, etc.
  • Supervise the academic projects of students including graduation projects.
  • Participate effectively in the administrative and academic duties and committees at the college and university levels.
  • Attend department, college, and university academic events such as meetings, seminars, conferences, etc
  • Should be able to provide direct hands-on training and practical supervision for the students’ department.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues to develop, evaluate, and teach courses.
  • Teach students in the assigned form/s such as face-to-face, online learning platform, hybrid, web-enhanced, lab, or other settings as appropriate.
  • Provide academic advising to students during office hours or by appointment in person or via email/online platform as appropriate.

Requirements

Candidate earned a Ph.D. degree from an institution where the medium of instruction is English, in one or more of the following:

  • Doctorate degree in Early Childhood Education.
  • Doctorate degree in Early Childhood Development with teaching experience in Early Childhood Education.
  • Doctorate degree in Early Childhood Special Needs Education.

Candidates should be active researchers in Early Childhood Education/ Development and intellectually engaged in their discipline.

Candidates should be able to teach at the undergraduate level with English as a medium of instruction.
