Duties
Sultan Qaboos University is the National University of the Sultanate of Oman. The College of Science at SQU provides a variety of degree programs in science-based on an American degree plan. The college also runs graduate programs and provides a wide range of service courses. All instruction is in English and candidates must be fluent in English. The University is located near the capital area and close to excellent international schools and unique natural recreational areas.
The main duties are as follows:
- Teaching core, elective and advanced Computer Science courses for BSc. and postgraduate degrees.
- Supervising BSc. graduation projects and MSc/PhD Theses.
- Participating in international peer-viewed research publications and leading roles in research grants.
- Participating in committees and other administrative duties at the department / college / university and society.
Requirements
The Department of Computer Science invites applications for a faculty position at the rank of Associate Professor beginning September 2021. A Ph.D. in Computer Science and a solid research and publication record are required. Preference will be given to applications in the area of Cybersecurity with proven experience in teaching relevant courses.
