Duties
The potential appointees for Associate Professor/ Assistant Professor positions shall have the ability to undertake the following:
-
Contribute to teaching (undergraduate and postgraduate program), academic supervision, research, administration works, and community services.
- Teach and develop courses and programs at undergraduate and postgraduate levels;
- Supervise MA and potentially PhD students;
- Academic advising;
- Initiate and lead research and consultancy projects and other collaborative research projects nationally and internationally;
- Lead and undertake academic and academicadministrative responsibilities at department and college level; and,
- Any other duties handed over by the department and/or the college.
Requirements
- PhD degree from an international recognised university of specialization (Travel & Tourism/ Hospitality & Hotel Management or related areas);
- Established academic work experience;
- Substantial academic work experience in teaching and researching in English, and online teaching;
- Strong record of publications in leading tourism and hospitality international journals;
- Clear evidence related to excellence in teaching, and supervising MA and PhD thesis;
- Evidence of commitment toward creating excellent working climate and building a harmonized and collaborative working environment.
- A good record of industry experience and/or connection that demonstrate the ability of linking academia with the industry;
- Excellent English communication skills; and,
- Mastery of IT skills.
