المهام

Sultan Qaboos University, the national university of the Sultanate of Oman, has the pleasure to invite applicants for the post of Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacy, College of Medicine and Health Sciences.

Applicant should:

  • Hold a PhD or equivalent qualification in Pharmacology and/or Clinical Pharmacy (medical qualification is preferred).
  • Have evidence of at least five (5) years of teaching experience, three (3) of which must be post PhD.
  • Hold an academic rank in a recognized academic institution that uses the English language as its primary medium of instruction.
  • Have a good research record and the ability to conduct relevant research, including the potential to publish in internationally renowned journals.
  • Have good interpersonal skills and the ability to relate different kinds of students and colleagues.

المتطلبات

Applicants are expected to:

  • Teach both undergraduate and postgraduate courses as assigned by the department and the college.
  • Advise students academically as per university policies and regulations.
  • Supervise the research work of undergraduate and postgraduate students.
  • Serve in the department, college and university committees.
  • Provide, as appropriate, professional services to the University and community.
  • Engage in scholarly and research activities that contribute to their discipline.
