General conditions for academic faculty positions:
1- The applicant must be Omani nationality.
2- The applicant must be of good conduct and behavior.
3-The qualification must be:
- Issued on a regular basis (full time system), and not be in the affiliation system, distance learning, or blended education.
- - Equivalent by the competent authority in the Sultanate of Oman if it was issued by a non-Omani higher education institution.
4- Familiarity with the use of information technology well.
5- Priority is given to those who have experience in university teaching and scientific research.
6- When the recruitment and sorting process taken places, the terms, conditions and procedures contained in the executive regulations of the Sultan Qaboos University Law and the regulations for appointing Omanis to academic positions at Sultan Qaboos University will be applied.
Conditions for occupying the position of Assistant Professor and above:
1- Obtaining a bachelor's degree.
2- Obtaining a doctoral qualification or its equivalent from a higher education institution whose ranking is not lower than that of Sultan Qaboos University, or is among the top three higher education institutions in the Sultanate of Oman, based on the (QS) or (THE) classification of universities in the year of graduation.
3- Fluency in the English language, both spoken and written, and the fulfillment of the minimum English language requirement of (5) in the IELTS exam or its equivalent in the TOEFL exam if the specialization applied for is taught in Arabic.
Specific conditions for Department specialization:
- He/she holds a PhD in Curriculum and Instruction of Art Education from an English speaking university (or its equivalent).
- He/she holds a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction of Art Education.
- He/she must have experience in university teaching, specifically in Curriculum and Instruction of Art Education and students supervising in Field Experience and teaching practices.
- He/she must have contributions in the field of research and scientific publication in Curriculum and Instruction of Art Education.
- He/she must have experience in supervising master's and doctoral theses.
- He/she must be fluent in Arabic Language as the it the main language for teaching program.
- He/she must be fluent in reading, writing and speaking of English language.
