• PhD in geophysics specializing in earthquakes or a PhD in civil engineering specializing in earthquake engineering or calculating loads and forces and developing earthquake-resistant building code.
• experience in:

        -  Seismic performance and stability

        -  Liquidation risk assessment
        -  Seismic risk assessment
        -  Seismic network
        - Ability to write computer programs to solve various geophysical problems.

• A list of scientific publications in the aforementioned fields (provided that no less than five publications have been published in an international peer-reviewed journal in the past two years).

• The terms and conditions mentioned in the executive regulations of Sultan Qaboos University and the laws in force in the Sultanate of Oman apply.
