Specific Requirements:
- The candidate must have an earned Ph.D degree in Agricultural Engineering, Biosystems Engineering or similar discipline from a reputed University.
- A cumulative GPA of > 3.00 out of 4.00 (or equivalent) at BSc and MSc levels is a must.
- Evidence of teaching full courses during full semesters at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels and research experience is preferred.
- Demonstration of advance computing and software skills, AI related skills in Digital Agriculture (Related to Agricultural Engineering Teaching and Research).
- The candidate should have a strong commitment for teaching excellence and student advising both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Awareness of accreditation requirements (ABET or similar) on innovative and outcome-based teaching methods will be an added qualification.
- The candidate must have a documented research record (certified by SCOPUS, WoS, Google Scholar, ResearchGate data) through publications in high-calibre refereed journals.
- The candidate must demonstrate excellent research capabilities that will enable him to develop successful research projects with the state-of-the-art technologies on data acquisition and analysis in the related research.
- The candidate must have records of leading research and accomplishment in developing, securing and managing funded research projects.
- The candidate must exhibit abilities to develop and maintain contacts and networking with relevant partners in the work field.
- Holding positions and memberships in professional bodies, serving in editorial boards will be considered as an added qualification.
- The candidate should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with teamwork spirits. Experience on teaching using e-learning and online teaching platforms (e.g. GoogleMeet, Moodle, Zoom) will be considered as an added qualification.
General conditions for teaching faculty positions:
1. The applicant must be of good conduct and behavior.
2. To have the following qualifications for appointment:
- It must be issued on a regular basis, and not be in the system of affiliation, distance education, or blended education.
- It must be equivalent by the competent authority in the Sultanate if it is issued by a non-Omani higher education institution (Only for Omani).
3. Proficiency in using information technology effectively.
4. Priority is given to those who have experience in university teaching and scientific research.
5. Apply for only one position in each college.
