Duties

General Duties 

1) Keeping abreast of recent developments in the academic field to enhance teaching and research activities within the department.

2) Implementing the security and safety requirements established by the university to provide a suitable working environment within the department.

3) Teaching in the field of specialization.

4) Providing academic guidance to students and providing them with information related to the specialization.

5) Participating in department and college council meetings and engaging in the activities of internal and external committees as requested.

6) Contributing to scientific research, providing scientific consultations, and attending conferences and scientific seminars in the field of specialization following the established rules.

7) Contributing to quality assurance activities in academic aspects in accordance with assigned tasks.

8) Contributing to community service by participating in seminars and workshops and preparing studies and research related to community issues.

9) Any other tasks assigned in the field of work.

Specific Duties 

  1. Teach courses in the area of specialization.
  2. Conduct scholarly research.
  3. Publish Papers in Top-tiers journals.
  4. Contribute to various committees at the Department, College, and University levels.
  5. Contribute to the research profile of the College through research and creative endeavors.
  6. Serve as student advisor.
  7. Help with curriculum/program development.
  8. Participate in department/college/university committees.
  9. Other responsibilities as assigned by the Head of Department.

Requirements

PhD from reputable international university required, with relevant professional experience. Candidates should have proven record of high-quality teaching and professional experience/scholarly activities in area of emphasis. Expected to be effective teacher-scholars, teach undergraduate and graduate courses, and participate in community outreach.

  • Qualifications:
    • PhD. in the relevant area of emphasis.
    • Strong peer reviewed publication record.
    • Teaching experience at university level not less than three years.
    • Language of instruction: English & Arabic
    • Familiarity with educational technology.
    • Willingness to work with teams.
    • Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds.
    • Excellent written and oral Communication skills (English).

    • 1. Obtaining a bachelor’s degree.
      2. Obtaining a doctoral qualification or its equivalent from a higher education institution within the top 50% of universities, based on the (QS), (THE), or (Shanghai) classification of universities in the year of graduation.
      3. Proficiency in spoken and written English, and meeting the minimum English language requirement according to the following:
      (6.5) in the IELTS exam or its equivalent in the TOEFL exam, if the specialty applied for is taught in English.
      4. The age of the applicant for the position of teaching assistant must not exceed (50) years, when the advertisement is published.
